Who is eligible for Phase 2C?

  • Open to all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who have not secured a place in an earlier phase.
Balloted if there are more applicants than places

How balloting & distance priority work

If Phase 2C is oversubscribed, places are allocated in this order of priority:

  1. 1.Singapore Citizens living within 1km of the school
  2. 2.Singapore Citizens living between 1km and 2km
  3. 3.Singapore Citizens living beyond 2km
  4. 4.Permanent Residents within 1km, then 1–2km, then beyond 2km

A ballot is only held within the band where places run out. Distance is measured in a straight line from your registered home address to the school.

Phase 2C FAQs

How does the 1km / 2km priority work in Phase 2C?

If a school is oversubscribed, places are allocated by citizenship and home-to-school distance: Singapore Citizens living within 1km first, then 1–2km, then beyond 2km, followed by Permanent Residents in the same distance bands.

What home address is used for distance priority?

The address on your NRIC at the time of registration. It must be used for at least 30 months from the start of the registration exercise, or MOE may transfer your child out.
